Policy
How we protect your privacy and handle your data. Straight talk, no corporate fluff.
What You Need to Know
We Collect Minimal Data
TopShiftPro is built different. We're a content site focused on intelligence, not a data harvesting operation. Here's the straight truth:
Your Control
- Email unsubscribe with one click
- No account required to access content
- Right to request total data deletion
Bottom Line
We don't sell your data. Period. We make money through transparent affiliate relationships, not by trading your personal info.
Built On Trust
Trucking is an industry built on handshake deals. We bring that same ethic to how we handle your data.
Never Sold
Your email, browsing data, or records will never be sold, rented, or traded. We are not a data broker.
Public Data Only
We use company-level FMCSA and Census data. We do NOT collect or publish individual driver license records.
Transparent Money
We earn commissions from affiliate links. This never influences our data integrity or ranking methodology.
1. Information We Collect
TopShiftPro collects minimal information to operate this website. We collect information in three ways:
1.1 Automatically Collected (Hosting Logs)
- IP addresses and browser type: Standard web traffic data.
- Page visits and timestamps: To monitor site health.
- Purpose: Security (DDoS protection) and site performance optimization.
- Retention: 30 days.
1.2 Information You Provide (Forms)
When you choose to download specific trucking resources or checklists, we may collect your email address and state selection. This is optional. We do not require account creation to browse our core data.
1.3 Analytics (Future Implementation)
We plan to use Google Analytics 4 to understand content performance. This will collect page views, navigation paths, and device info. You have the right to opt-out via browser settings or our future opt-out tool.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely for:
- Website Operation: Delivering content and preventing cyber attacks.
- Content Improvement: Understanding which state guides and articles are most useful to owner-operators.
- Resource Delivery: Sending the PDF guides or checklists you explicitly request.
- Business Operations: Tracking affiliate conversions to fund our research.
Our Promise
WE DO NOT sell your personal information, rent email lists, or create detailed advertising profiles for third-party resale.
3. Third-Party Services
| Service | Purpose | Data Handled |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Pages | Hosting & Security | IP, Server Logs |
| Formspree | Contact Forms | Email, Name |
| Google Analytics | Site Performance | Usage Stats, Cookies |
4. Cookies & Tracking
Currently, TopShiftPro uses NO cookies for tracking. When we implement analytics in the future:
- Analytics Cookies: Used to distinguish unique visitors (expires 2 years).
- Affiliate Cookies: Third-party networks (like CJ, Impact) use cookies to track commissions when you click our external links. These are governed by their respective privacy policies.
You can block cookies in your browser settings anytime without losing access to our content.
5. Your Privacy Rights
You have rights over your data. Email privacy@topshiftpro.com to exercise them:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of information we have.
- Right to Deletion: Request permanent removal of your data.
- Right to Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from emails or object to processing.
California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what data we collect and to opt-out of any data sharing. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
6. Data Security
We use TLS 1.3 encryption for all data in transit (HTTPS). Since TopShiftPro is a static site, we do not store user accounts, passwords, or financial data on our servers, significantly reducing security risks compared to dynamic web applications.
9. Affiliate Disclosure
TopShiftPro is free to use because we earn commissions when you click links to our partners (insurance, training, factoring). This relationship NEVER influences our data rankings or editorial methodology. If we recommend a service, it is because the data supports it, not because of the payout.
